"SOUTH IRISH HORSE  - The names"

The information in the list below has been taken mainly from the various War Diaries but also from the following sources. "The Irish Guards in the Great War" by Rudyard Kipling , a list of County Kildare dead from the Athy Heritage Canter and finally an official publication giving, British officers taken prisoner August 1914 - November 1918. We have tried to include as many names as is possible. It is normally only the dead who are listed and in this list are many who made it through the war. The first four columns are self explanatory, the final one gives details from the source, there are too many abbreviations to list here, if you have a question use email.
